Nation marks Pakistan Day with patriotic zeal

The nation celebrates Pakistan Day on Sunday with a renewed obligation to transform the country into an Islamic welfare state as imagined by Quaid-E-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

The day marks the anniversary of the Lahore resolution, adopted on March 23, 1940, which laid the basis for a separate homeland for Muslims in the subcontinent.

The celebrations began with a 31-canon honor in Islamabad and 21-gun-greetings in provincial capitals. Special prayers were offered by fajr for the nation’s progress and prosperity.

This year, Pakistan Day parade was held at Aiwan-E-Sadr instead of its traditional place at Shakarparian Parade Ground.

President Asif Ali Zardari is the main guest with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, service managers and other dignitaries.

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Services Chiefs have expanded heartfelt congratulations to the nation on Pakistan Day.

According to ISPR, the military leadership said this apartment marks the Pakistani people’s unshakable decision.

They said with steadfast determination and divine guidance; Pakistan remains resolute in consolidating his democratic institutions and protecting citizens’ well -being.

The military brass confirmed their unwavering obligation to protect the sacred borders of the motherland and maintain sovereignty.
