Karachi:
The government’s decision to temporarily postpone the controversial plan to draw new channels from the river Indus is hailed as a significant victory for the people of Sindh.
Leaders and activists have attributed this success to the United effort by political figures, lawyers, students, farmers, women, journalists and citizens from all social sectors.
Sindh Bachao Tehreek has also announced an advisory meeting to host Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) on April 30, where the next action phase will be discussed.
The leaders congratulated the people of Sindh with their success and confirmed their obligation to continue the joint struggle.
