Nawaz back in spotlight as he gives pml-n big guns

Lahore:

PML-N President Nawaz Sharif has called on the government to secure unity and harmony among the population in the light of a growing threat of another misunderstanding from India, senior party leader Murtaza Javed Abbasi said Tuesday.

When he spoke with Express Pakinomist, Abbasi said that during a meeting chairman of Nawaz Sharif in his Galiyat residence, it was revealed that there were threats that the Indian elected government in an attempt to redeem his lost honor among his voters could take on another misunderstanding.

He said Nawaz Sharif emphasized on ensuring political harmony and unity in the country to counter all kinds of threats that Pakistan was facing.

He added that PTI Foundation Chairman Imran Khan, in his personal view, should also let go of his ego and sit with the political government if the company was not ready to sit with him and help the government to reach agreement among people.

Murtaza said the meeting mainly focused on the upcoming elections. The Party President and the leadership reviewed profiles, track records and voters’ results to determine the most appropriate candidates.

He said Nawaz Sharif prayed both provincial and central governments to focus on improving performance and reviving the economy. “Pakistan will really reach the place in the world it wants after achieving fiscal stability,” he noted, adding that PML-N’s performance and the economy would be the party’s tale for the upcoming election.

He said this was the third party meeting that was the president of Nawaz Sharif, who mainly focused on national issues.

In response to a question about discussion about the 27th amendment, Abbasi said that nothing was discussed for this effect on this or another party meeting.
