Collin Murray-Boyles’ dreams of becoming an NBA player were realized on Wednesday night, but his reaction to hearing his name was called on the draft left fans amazed.
Toronto Raptors chose Murray-Boyles with No. 9 selected from South Carolina. That broadcast panned to Murray-Boyles, who seemed to shake his head and pronounce an explosive under his breath when he heard that Raptors chose him.

“F —,” he looked to mumble when he got up at his table. It was either a shock to the realization that he was turning pro or that it was the team who chose him.
Either way, the NBA world noticed the Murray-Boyles reaction and he was asked about it afterwards.
“Just unbelievers,” he said via CBS Sports. “What I said was not a bad thing in any way. Grateful.”
Even Raptors made a social media post about it.

Murray-Boyles played two seasons with gamecocks and made the all-season new joints in his first season and was all-season in his second season. He led the conference with a 58.6 field target percentage in 2024-25. He average 16.8 points per Match.
