With about a month, until the NBA final game begins, Milwaukee Bucks got rough news about one of their star players.
The team announced on Tuesday that Damian Lillard has been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis – a blood clot – in his right calf.
The diagnosis keeps Lillard out indefinitely.

Bucks delivered the update on the seven-time ALL-NBA Guard’s status without offering a target date for his potential returns. Lillard has missed Bucks’ last three competitions and has already been excluded for their Wednesday match at Denver.
“Damian’s health is our priority # 1,” Buck’s General Manager Jon Horst said in a statement. “We will support him as he moves through this weekly process of strict criteria to make sure it is safe for him to return to play. Doctors have indicated that his situation will very unlikely to occur again. We are grateful that this was identified and medicated quickly, which helps with the improvement.”
Lillard has taken blood thinners that have stabilized the blood clot, ESPN noted.

Unfortunately for Bucks, they can have some kind of tip about how long Lillard will miss. San Antonio Spurs super -star Victor Wembanyama was diagnosed with a blood clot in the shoulder last month, and the sprouts immediately released him for the rest of the season.
It should be noted that San Antonio did not exactly fought for an endgame when Wembanyama’s diagnosis came. Milwaukee is currently the fifth seed of the eastern conference. Bucks and colleague Divisionmates in Pacers and Pistons are all within 2.5 games of each other on the position where Indiana four-seeds and Detroit sit in the sixth.

Lillard is in his second season in Milwaukee after spending his first 11 seasons with Portland Trail Blazers. He average 24.9 points and 7.1 assists per Fight, up to level with his career statistics.
