Napear joined Travis and Sexton’s show and talked about his experience of being fired. He mentioned that many people in his circle and within the industry privately spoke to him and expressed their support.
“Private people were furious, they were blown away,” Napear said. “I had some of the biggest names in the sports scasting industry when I talked to me and talked about how they couldn’t believe it. They told me they would be nervous about saying something they shouldn’t (it) it would be misunderstood.”

Napear said, however, that he had not come to his defense because they were afraid of the consequences of sticking to someone who had said something that was considered offensive.
“But what was amazing is that every one of them said, ‘I would very much like to speak for you in public, but I can’t.’ They were too scared.

Although it must have been condescending (at the top of the five-year-old waiting time to get a job back in the industry), Justice has smiled to Napear and restored him back to doing what he loves. It is good that this wrong – at least partially – has been corrected.
