Howard Stern has made it clear: If he doesn’t sit in the front row of Madison Square Garden and look at New York Knicks, he won’t go at all.

Stern, 71, is not known for being the biggest sports fan, but supports Knicks, which has a 3-2 series lead over defending champion Boston Celtics in the eastern conference semi-final.

Despite the team’s playoff success, Stern will not be part of Raucous Madison Square Garden audience unless he gets seats in the front row.

“You can tell your place in the show shop where they place you on the Knicks game. The day they put me in the second row, I stopped. Because I consider myself a first-row type of person,” Stern said at “The Howard Stern Show.”

“I am very aware of where they have room for me and it is very important to me. If they said to me, ‘see you will not be in the first row,’ I would turn and leave. It would be embarrassing to me.”

Stern has an interest in going to an upcoming Knicks playoffs, but will only participate if his requirements are met.

“I have tremendous interest but I wouldn’t go. I’m very self -conscious. I’m waiting for them to invite me,” said Stern.

“I don’t want to take advantage and I know everyone is coming out of the woodwork for the final. I don’t want to be that guy. I prefer when Knicks last died, so I don’t feel guilty of taking the tickets because no one will go.”

While he would like to go to a game if invited, the long -time host does not have much belief that Knicks will beat Celtics and move on.

“I still feel like Knicks will blow it up. I get Agita with that team,” said Stern.

Celtics won Game 5 in TD Garden in Boston 127-105 despite not having star player Jayson Tatum due to an Achilles injury he suffered at the end of Game 4.

Knicks has another chance to get the series on Friday at. 20 ET when the series returns to Madison Square Garden. The team has not made the conference finals since 2000.
