Knick’s stunned Boston Celtics and defeated the reigning masters in six games and advanced to their first conference final of 25 years.
“Knicks embodies the spirit of New York – resilient, passionate and unstoppable,” Adams said in a statement.
“On the road to a championship, we recognize the hard work and determination that has gained this team to the eastern conference final, and we celebrate this team by temporarily naming our city streets so that all New Yorkers can celebrate their knicks pride. Almost 8.5 million New Yorkers and Millions are more behind New York Knicks as they continue this incredible journey.”
The streets are co-named as long as Knicks are still in the playoff hunt. Each character is blue and orange and contains the player’s name and jersey number.
Last season, Pacers removed a Knick’s team that was decimated by injuries in seven matches in the eastern conference semi -final.
