NBA News: Warriors’ Steve Kerr says more travel violations should be called

Golden State Warrior’s main coach Steve Kerr calls NBA officials to flute travel, one of the most basic rules violations in basketball, more often.

Kerr, 59, was assessed a technical error in the third quarter of Warriors’ 119-101 victory over Charlotte Hornets Monday after what he thought was an obvious journey was not called.

“I don’t understand why we don’t teach our officials to call traveling in this league,” Kerr journalists told after the game. “They do a good job and work with their tails and communicate well, but I see five or six travel a game that is not called.

“You know it’s a problem when there’s like a hundred fans in the stands and every trainer on the sidelines when I watch movies and everyone is (signalizes for a travel call). Everyone sees it, so we obviously don’t teach as a league our officials to watch their feet.”

Kerr called his own team and said he saw Warriors commit four travel violations that were not called in their losses to the Philadelphia 76ers Saturday.

Kerr said a change in travel violations must be “for the benefit of the game.”

“The whole game is based on footwork,” Kerr said. “We need to enforce violations of travel and we don’t. And I don’t understand why
