Orlando Magic secured an playoffs with a win over Atlanta Hawks Tuesday and did enough to watch Star Sharpshooter Trae Young be thrown out before the game was done.
Young had 28 points and six assists in 40 minutes, but he wasn’t watching the game through. Young gave a strong passport to a referee after making a basket of 4:48 back in the game. The judge did not go too kindly to it and gave him a technical mistake.
Moments later he deflected the ball with his foot and did not return it immediately to the referee.

He was thrown from the game from there. NBA said he was thrown to “make a mockery against the game.”
Judge James Williams turned to the technical errors.
“Trae Young received his first unsportsmanlike technical mistake to throw the ball at a gambling employee,” he told a pool reporter. “He received his second unsportsmanlike technical mistake to kick the ball away and make a mockery against the game as we tried to shoot the free throw to the first technical error and by rule when the player receives two unsportsmanlike mistakes he is exposed from the game,” he added.

The magic won 120-95 to squeeze # 7 seeds in the playoffs.
“Sometimes when I take my frustration over the judges, it’s not just for me,” Young said. “It’s for my teammates. I see Dyson Daniels go; he may not be a household name yet, but he deserves the same amount of respect as some of these other guys. If you see a mistake, call for a mistake. That’s pretty much all that was for me.”
Wendall Carter Jr. led the magic with 19 points. Orlando’s star -tip Paolo Banchero added 17 points.
“It was a fun game, a big-time game, a unique type of challenge,” Banchero said. “I was interested in seeing how to try to protect me. You could tell it in the first quarter that I was trying to get my teammates involved, move the ball, and these guys got started. They carried us throughout the game.”
