Giannis Antetokounmpo -handle rumors began to swirl Monday when a new report offered a glimpse of how willing the Milwaukee Bucks star would be for a potential move.
Antetokounmpo is “open” to look after continuing his career elsewhere if he decided his career with Bucks had run his course, ESPN reported. The NBA team was reportedly expected to check in with Milwaukee more often than they have been to check the organization’s temperature about how close they are to trading him.

No specific teams were named in the report and it didn’t look like Bucks was in active discussions about trading in disposable NBA champion and two-time MVP. However, the team and Antetokounmpos Reps were reportedly expected to talk about the future during the peak season.
The question of whether he would stay in Milwaukee, threatened as soon as Indiana Pacers removed Bucks in the playoffs. He was asked in the immediate demand for the playoff loss if he still thought he could win another championship with Bucks.
“I don’t want to do this. I don’t want to do this,” said Antetokounmpo. “I know … Whatever I say, I know how it will translate. I don’t know, man. I wish I still played. I wish I was still competing and going back to Milwaukee. I don’t know.”

He still has two guaranteed years back on his contract in addition to a player setting for the 2027-28 season.

Brooklyn Nets, New Orleans Pelicans, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets have all been named as potential volunteers for the star player. The picture could become clearer when the NBA draft Lottery shakes out after Monday night.

Antetokounmpo is a nine-time all-star that has been as influential on the franchise as Lew Alcindor. In the 2024-25 season he average he 30.4 points and 11.9 rebounds per year. Match.
