- Rumors suggest that NVIDIAS RTX 5000 -Serie Super GPU models are on the field for launching later in 2025
- RTX 5080 Super is speculated to have 24 GB VRAM that matches the RTX 4090s
- It seems to be the ideal option of nvidia to improve its blackwell -launching — accident
It’s been a long time since NVIDIA launched its RTX 5000 series GPUs in late January, followed by other configurations in later months, after a CES 2025 keynote showing Blackwell GPUs. However, it seems that Nvidia may not have been done with new GPU launches in 2025 yet.
According to TWEACTOWN, NVIDIA is ready to launch the RTX 5000 series supermodels later in this holiday season, which typically means November or December. RTX 5080, RTX 5070 TI and RTX 5070 are the GPUs reported to receive super upgrades, with the new 5080 and 5070 ten allegedly set to use 24 GB VRAM.
Prices are not completed and there are no numbers to work from at this time. But given Team Green’s previous feature was to reduce the RTX 4080 Super Price (as a slightly more powerful GPU) compared to the standard model, we could see a similar pattern again.
There is no sugar coating level of controversy that enveloped Blackwell GPUs with a lack of specifications (ROPS), a lack of accessibility and most importantly, inflated prices across multiple online retailers. With the RTX 5000 series Supermodels, NVIDIA and especially its board partners have a chance to fix these wrongs.
A combination of improved performance everywhere and adjusted price points can make wonders – and this is mostly true for the RTX 5080, which potentially closes the gap on the RTX 4090 (allegedly using 24 GB VRAM). It may be even more interesting to see an RTX 5060 Super using more Vram, but we will have to wait and see.
Analysis: If the prices of these Super GPUs are out of beat, then I even forget this …
Above all, if these Super GPU model rumors are legitimate, prices will again determine their success. While I realize that Nvidia may have good intentions with a more reasonable pricing, all this work could be undone by board partners and retailers marking prices significantly.
It’s the same question that got the AMDS RADEON RX 9000 series launch for many; Radeon RX 9070 XT was seen as the cheap and powerful alternative to Blackwell Mid to High-Tier GPUs, to $ 599 / £ 569 (around AU $ 944), but the market told another story with prices that rose far above it.
Fortunately, prices have recently fallen back to original retail prices, which I see with more stock and accessibility for both Team Green and Team Red GPUs than ever before.
I hope prices can stabilize and remain within reasonable intervals leading up to the possible launch of Nvidia’s new Super GPU models as it can reduce the chances of ridiculous pricing. Let’s just see this space …
