This year’s Anime NYC Convention has been a hit for Netflix, with the streaming service, debuting brand new trailers for three of its biggest shows for next year: Blue Eye Samurai Season 2, Devil can cry Season 2 and Registration of Ragnarok III. It’s on top of a teaser to Splinter Cell: Deathwatchthat will be sent on October 14 and a mid-season trailer to Sakamoto days Part 2. Honestly, I don’t even know what to be excited about the most.
We will soon dive into the details of each new trailer, but let’s cover some context. We’ve already got several new anime shows to look forward to on top of what Netflix has just debuted, including The fragrant flowers of flowers with dignityAt Beastars and Cyberpunk: Edgerrunners 2. Summer Hikaru died and Sakamoto days Still sends episodes on a weekly basis, and all this is before we even consider the streamer’s extensive back catalog (which in my opinion has some of the best anime shows of all time).
So why are these three shows that we have to keep an eye on? According to fans on X/Twitter, the new trailers already look “even better than Arcane” Which is an absolutely massive statement. League of Legends Anime still has a huge 100% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, and I am incredibly convinced that at least one of Netflix’s new anime seasons can compete with its success.
Blue Eye Samurai Season 2
Look at
It is Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 that I really put my money behind to compete with success with Arcane. The unique beautiful visuals and darkly compelling storytelling instantly separates season 1 except for the crowd, and if the above is something to pass by, the creators do not compromise on the details. Production has only just started, so I assume we are waiting to see new episodes towards the middle or end of 2026.
The teaser shows Mizu on a demon’s path and we have no idea who’s in the way. Creators Amber Noizumi and Michael Green told Netflix in 2023, “Mizu has much more blood to waste,” but is her target exclusively abijah? “He has a function, he is a roadmap for the others. She fully plans to kill him, but she needs him first,” Green added.
Devil can cry season 2
Look at
Not only is Devil can cry Season 2 certainly comes in 2026 (probably earlier than Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 considering that we get a first look), but it follows the original video games for the letter. In the clip above, we see Dante face against his still Alive twin brother Vergil, even though he had been written off as dead last time we saw him. “I hoped it would be you, the little brother,” says Vergil, while the two run against each other, Blades sign.
Already sitting beautifully with a 95% critic score on the rat tomatoes, that’s another shoo in for Gedanime -mode along with Arcane. Facts Season 2 was renewed just a week after Season 1 premiered did not hurt either, but it is the cruel Gothic aesthetic and sharp handles on his characters that fans love the most. Anime as a whole is not less than demon hunters but Devil can cry is among the best to look at.
Registration of Ragnarok III
Look at
Unlike the other two shows we have already seen a glimpse of what is to come in Registration of Ragnarok III. This is another trailer that has been released now. Creator Takumi Fukui told Netflix: “A lot of time has passed since the explosive ending to the second season. Thanks to the support of our fans, the third season is finally here! How will the fiery match we depicted in the cartoon will be recreated? How will certain features and scenes come to life on screen?
“Plus, well -known figures will cross trails again. I can’t wait for everyone to see the continuation of the battle between gods and humanity!”
This is also a bit of a cheating date. We currently have no idea of whether Registration of Ragnarok III Will be broadcast at one time or on a weekly basis that runs well into 2026. However, the better news is the episodes starting to begin just before the new year in December 2025. Fingers crossed for the latter, but I have got a feeling that Netflix will enjoy their established success with a weekly drop again here.
