- Netflix brings a new slate of Multi-Player party games to his TV experience
- They are ready to arrive in time for the holiday season, starting with five matches including LEGO party! and tetris time warp
- Netflix has deeply with games since 2021, but this is the first time it brings party games to TV
Netflix combines movie night with Games Night as the best streaming service has just revealed its plans to bring a number of new multi-player party games to Netflix on TV that will roll out this holiday season.
According to Netflix, its new party game is coming ‘soon’ and you can play them right from the Netflix app. Since 2021, Netflix has been dipping with offering its subscribers’ gaming experiences, but this has been limited to only mobile use. As for its new TV party games, it has already given us a taste of what we can expect-and in all justice it is a pretty solid line-up.
One of the five new games is LEGO party!which was released to Nintendo Switch just last month and would cost you the best part of ($ 39.99 / £ 34.99) to buy the game separately. Join LEGO party! is Boggle Partya race-to-day anagram-puzzle, as well as Pictionary: Game Night and Tetris Time Warp – Classics in their own right.
The fifth party game, and what I am most fascinated by has the title PARTY CRASHERS: NY YOUR FRIENDS. From the description it sounds like a social deduction game that looks like us where you have to break down your group of friends and reveal ‘Party Crasher’. I’m already starting to think about the fun my friends and I want with this one.
Some things to keep in mind
When you start planning your future hybrid film and game nights, there are a few things to consider. E.g. Are Netflix’s new party game included in your monthly subscription and need the Netflix Game Controller app on your mobile device to check the fun on your TV screen.
iOS users can download the app from the App Store and start that way, but that’s another matter for Android users. According to Cnet, if you have an Android device, download the Netflix app from the Google Play Store and then scan a QR code on your TV to get started with Netflix’s Party Games. You also need to scan the code every time you want to start a game that is the only major disadvantage.
Netflix has not revealed a released date yet, but we expect its flurry of party games to arrive just in time for the holiday season. The streaming service starts with the five mentioned above that tease that there is more to come: ‘This is just the beginning – keep an eye on more news and get ready to play, connect and have fun together on Netflix’.
