- Netflix has released a new clip of Kpop Demon Hunters‘ the music group HUNTR/X
- It appeared as part of many people’s Spotify Wrapped 2025 round-ups
- Some fans are convinced that the video was created with the help of AI
Surprise! Netflix has released a new video of Kpop Demon Hunters‘ wildly popular music act HUNTR/X – but some skeptical viewers believe it was created with the help of artificial intelligence (AI).
Released today (Dec. 3), the 10-second clip shows the trio thanking fans for listening to the hit Netflix movie’s soundtrack on Spotify throughout 2025. Initially, the video, which you can see below, was only available to users whose top artist was HUNTR/X. However, in the hours since the launch of Spotify Wrapped 2025, it has since appeared on social media platforms including X/Twitter and Reddit.

With this year’s edition of Spotify Wrapped going live on December 3, we have a slightly clearer picture of how often we collectively listened to Kpop Demon Hunters‘ incredibly catchy songs. And we definitely streamed them. A lot.
Considering how obsessed we’ve been with it Kpop Demon Hunters since its June 20 release on the world’s top streaming service, no one should be shocked by the popularity of its soundtrack.
Nevertheless, the fact that the record-breaking film’s LP was listened to more times than new albums by pop superstars including Sabrina Carpenter, Lady Gaga and Billie Eilish is a testament to the film’s influence on the cultural zeitgeist.
For many, this “thank you” message from HUNTR/X will come as a delightful surprise when scrolling through their Spotify Wrapped 2025 results. However, some fans have questioned how the clip was made, with some labeling it AI-generated content.
In separate threads on Kpop Demon Hunters sub-Reddit, plus one that has appeared on ResetEra, some people expressed doubts about the validity of this clip and suggested that AI has been used to create it. In fact, users have pointed out a split-second delay between the voice-only sound and the movement of Rumi, Zoey and Mira’s mouths, Zoey being awkwardly cut off by Mira, and Zoey’s voice being a pitch higher than usual.
That’s not to say that this video is, as the kids say, artificial intelligence. It’s likely that if Spotify asked for a HUNTR/X “thank you” message, Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation would have to do something at the last minute. So there’s an argument to be made that this could have been rushed out the door without much quality assurance (QA) testing.
Nevertheless, there is an element of uncanny valley to the clip, so I can understand why some people might think it’s AI-generated. I have contacted Netflix, Sony and Spotify to confirm if the recordings are genuine and will report back if I receive a response.
In the meantime, if you’re not tired of watching one of the best Netflix movies ever, you can stream Kpop Demon Hunters on Netflix right now. The soundtrack is also available on Spotify, Apple Music and several of the top music streaming services.
