Byeon Woo-Seok is ready to take on Solo leveling. Although we do not yet have any further information about the project, Anime’s success means that the K drama is likely to enter the ranks of the best Netflix shows of the time.
If you have signed up for the CrunchyRoll during the Prime Day Agreements in the US, you know Solo leveling Isn’t actually a Netflix IP. Anime -Streaming Service is already hosting the first two seasons in the original series along with –RecoveredThe 2024 movie, which offers a feature of the first season along with a sneaky view of the first two episodes of Season 2.
Solo leveling Will be a live-action k-drama, but fans of anime-like me-are perhaps worried about the incredibly vague third season … and there is good reason to be.
Netflix’s live-action solo leveling could delay season 3 of anime
After Solo leveling Season 2 wrapped in March, there has definitely been no word about whether Season 3 will exist, so much less when we can see it. From a history -line perspective, we know it should return, with Jinwoo, who was last seen, who decided to stay on Jeju Island to fight the remaining ants that terrorized the area. We know from the manga that Jeju Island Arc is a springboard for more action, so technically there is more than enough story to tell.
So why haven’t crunchyroll announced anything? The answer is unknown, but if there is a crossover between webtoon, anime and live-action teams, the Netflix adaptation could now be a roadblock for Season 3 progress. We also do not have an expected release date for, but at least there is confirmation that the upcoming K-drama exists.
If the industry guesses are correct the earliest we could see Solo leveling Season 3 would be at the end of 2026 and lean into 2027 worst cases. Of course, everything is about whether it is actually advertised, with animation producer Atsushi Kaneko, referring to potential planning for it in a behind the scenes of YouTube video for Crunchyroll. Still, no official news is no news at all.
Annoying we have a lot of questions that anime desperately needs to answer. What are the mysterious beings that arrived at the end of season 2? What does Jinwoo’s father want? Will Beru Overmanne him or turn towards him? Will we ever get answers? Hopefully. But we can probably relive Jinwoos Season 1 story again in Live-Action first.
