Netflix did not just reveal Sandman‘s two new launch dates today (April 17). Tom Sturridge-Fronted TV original also received his first teaser trailer showing the endless, Sturridge’s Dream included, called for a meeting of one of their siblings Destiny.
It is unclear why Destiny has encouraged his colleagues to join him (yes, unless you have read the source material) and the teaser does not reveal exactly what the purpose of the meeting is. Nevertheless, it suggests one of the best Netflix shows – depending on who you ask anyway – aims to go out with a fantastic smell with his last rate.

This is the first official information we have received about Sandman 2 Since last September.
During Netflix Geeked Week 2024, streaming Titan revealed a dreaming behind the scenes Look at Season 2, which revealed a 2025 release window. Before that confirmed Netflix who would play Destiny, Delirium and The Prodigal in Season 2 in May Last Sandman‘s last season in July 2024.
Why does Sandman end after two seasons?
Netflix has not given an official declaration of ending Sandman After two seasons. With so much source material left to adapt, general audience may be confused by the best streaming service’s decision to do so.
However, anyone who has kept pace with the news in the last year will have an idea of why the high fantasy series is too early – and it all has to do with Gaiman.
In July 2024, the award -winning author was accused of sexual abuse and abuse of five women on a turtle media podcast called ‘Master: The Notnation Against Neil Gaiman’. Since then, several accusations, some of which go back to 1986, have arrived at Gaiman’s behavior and includes his alleged commitment to human trafficking. From February 2025, three federal lawsuits have also been brought against the author.
Gaiman has strenuously denied all the accusations made against him. Nevertheless, live-action adaptations of his works have been affected since he was accused of the aforementioned crimes. That includes the third season of Good signsThe popular Prime Video TV show that Gaiman is no longer involved in and has since been transformed into a 90-minute movie.
As I wrote earlier, it is unclear if Netflix brings his retelling of Sandman to a measure because of what is described above. One thing is sure though: Sandman Don’t get another excursion on Netflix.
