After three years away, Love, Death + Robots is back to an exciting new volume – and its streaming date is only a few weeks away. Volume 4 comes to Netflix on May 15, and if the teaser trailer is any indication that it will be epic, edge-of-the-seat TV.
As with previous seasons of one of the best Netflix shows, Volume 4 consists of independent animated shorts with their own characters and distinctive visual styles. And as you see from the trailer, it looks like it will be lots of robotic -related fun.

Love, Death and Robots Volume 4: What to expect
Here are some of the things you want to see in Volume 4 based on the trailer: a seemingly living sex toy with googly eyes; What does a giant rock concert look like; a scary, difficult cyborg; A giant baby; Dinosaurs are fighting; Half of the golden gate disappears … and that’s just the first 12 seconds of the trailer.
It will definitely be visually astonishing, and as always the style changes are between each short striking: there is a classic cartoon-book-iesque action, photorealistic CGI and much more.
There will be ten shorts in Volume 4, and while Netflix doesn’t give too much away it promises “Dinosaur Gladiators, Messian cats [and] String-Puppet Rock Stars “. The official synopsis says:
“The fourth volume, presented by Tim Miller and David Fincher, sees Jennifer Yuh Nelson return as supervisory director for 10 surprising shorts showing the signature of the series, award-winning style of bleeding canticage, horror, sci-fi and humor. Tighten up.”
