Brooklyn Nets had one of the more scary “Thanks” posts that teams do when a player shares ways with them when Bojan Bogdanovic was released on Thursday.

Bogdanovic will undergo season ending foot surgery per year. Espn.

The strange part of thanking Bogdanovic is that he never played a single game with Nets.

The 35-year-old played almost a full year ago with New York Knicks before leaving Game 4 in playoffs in the first round against the Philadelphia 76ers with the injury.

He had surgery on his foot, but was traded in the nets in the deal that landed Mikal Bridges over the city.

It was expected that Bogdanovic will at some point come back on the field for Brooklyn, but complications after the initial surgery now require another.

When Bogdanovic waived, the Nets completed a 10-day contract with previous No. 7 overall election in the NBA draft, Killian Hayes, his agent told ESPN.

Bogdanovic will now search for a new team on the way into its 12th NBA season next year. He has played for six teams to this point, an average of 15.6 points while shooting 39.4% from three-point reach.

Bogdanovic broke into the league with the nets in the 2014-15 season, making NBAS All-Rowie team.

A reliable goal scorer, Bogdanovic, played for Washington Wizards, Indiana Pacers, Utah Jazz and Detroit Pistons, who traded him for Knicks midway through the campaign 2023-24.

In his career average Bogdanovic an average of 15.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per Match.
