New -Connections Today (Play #673) – The answers
The answers to today’s connections, game #673, is …
- Yellow: Limit Block, check, dam, stop
- Green: Ticket events Concert, Games, Movies, Play
- Blue: associated with the game Oregon Trail
- Dysentery, Ford, Hunt, Oxen
- Purple: What “Ford” can refer to Actor, car, director, president
- My rating: Hard
- My score: Fail
I crashed today after getting the yellow and green group. Limitation was easy enough, even though I hesitated with dam and thought it could be in a water -based group with Ford, but I took the plunge.
I got the green group without believing that tickets were the ordinary thread, just that they were all things people paid for.
After this, I was completely clueless and tried random groupings with a little logic. For my last guess I almost did it when I got “one away” but it was too late. I should have realized that Ford was both an answer and a plug.
To my defense, Oregon Trail Is not something that really crossed the Atlantic to the UK, although I have vague memories of “You have Dysentry” t-shirts that go viral a few decades ago-not to understand why.
How did you do today? Tell me that in the comments below.
Yesterday’s New -Connections Answer (Sunday 13 April, Games #672)

- Green: Participation Status Absent, apologized, late, present
- Blue: Font modifying words Gothic, Roman, sense, typewriter
- Purple: __berry Caper, Elder, Goose, Logan
What are new connections?
New Connections is one of several increasingly popular word games made by the New York Times. It challenges you to find groups of four objects that share something in common, and each group has another level of difficulty: green is light, yellow a little harder, blue often quite hard and purple usually very difficult.
On the plus side, you do not have to technically solve the last one, as you can answer one by an elimination process. In addition, you can make up to four errors, giving you a little bit of breathing room.
However, it is a little more involved than something like Wordle, and there are plenty of opportunities for the game to get up with tricks. For example, be careful on gay and other word games that can hide the answers.
It can be played free of charge via the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
