I imagine the category of modern inventions getting a little warm.
It is a vague joint, as there are countless modern inventions and other than those who are “modern”, there is nothing else that connects them.
The word modern is also subjective – the beginning of crypto, vape and podcast was about 20 years ago, while there were types of smartwatch in the 1990s.
This unclear aside was the purple group easy to get, as they are actually all current recordings and differs from the other 12 tiles.
Noticeable, this was a day without subter joint or chicanery, which makes me think that there are two possible reasons for this. Either connections go on us easily because it is a Saturday or they have something terribly planned for us tomorrow. I predict the latter.

What are new connections?
New Connections is one of several increasingly popular word games made by the New York Times. It challenges you to find groups of four objects that share something in common, and each group has another level of difficulty: green is light, yellow a little harder, blue often quite hard and purple usually very difficult.
On the plus side, you do not have to technically solve the last one, as you can answer one by an elimination process. In addition, you can make up to four errors, giving you a little bit of breathing room.
However, it is a little more involved than something like Wordle, and there are plenty of opportunities for the game to get up with tricks. For example, be careful on gay and other word games that can hide the answers.
