New -Connections Today (Play #665) – The answers
The answers to today’s connections, game #665, are …
- Yellow: Aloof Cool, Remove, Remote, Reserved
- Green: Utilities Cable, gas, waste, water
- Blue: Which electometer measures Charging, power, resistance, tension
- Purple: __ LED Dovetail, hip, pizza, spike lee
- My rating: Moderate
- My score: 2 Errors
A solid performance from me today but I made two mistakes. They both came to try to organize what would be, what an electometer measures.
I convinced myself that we were looking for something to do with charging electric cars so that I had charge, power, cable and voltage before I also tried remote control. Eventually I decided to give up it completely.
Fortunately, the other three groups met quite easily despite a few linguistic differences in USA-UK.
This was a rare turn where I saw Purple Group first. Spike Lee was the gift (if Doing the right thing Film contained a pizza collection), while the swallow hall is permanently edged in my memory from school and my great life performance to make a spice rack that lasted for about two weeks and collapsed under the pressure of a pot of oregano.
How did you do today? Tell me that in the comments below.
Yesterday’s new -connections Reply (Saturday 5 April, Game #664)

- Green: Parts of a site Banner, headline, menu, sidebar
- Blue: Magazines Billboard, people, star, time
- Purple: Ends with medieval weapons Crossword, Grimase, Rainbow, Sans
What are new connections?
New Connections is one of several increasingly popular word games made by the New York Times. It challenges you to find groups of four objects that share something in common, and each group has another level of difficulty: green is light, yellow a little harder, blue often quite hard and purple usually very difficult.
On the plus side, you do not have to technically solve the last one, as you can answer one by an elimination process. In addition, you can make up to four errors, giving you a little bit of breathing room.
However, it is a little more involved than something like Wordle, and there are plenty of opportunities for the game to get up with tricks. For example, be careful on gay and other word games that can hide the answers.
It can be played free of charge via the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
