I fell for today’s trick group, though I suspected it was a trick group – I just couldn’t help myself.
Daniel, Pierce, Sean and Roger are, of course, all first name of actors who have portrayed British secret service agent James Bond. Unfortunately, Craig, Brosnan, Connery and Moore were just a hand of hand of the ramped connecting bands, which undoubtedly snuck into the sleeves.
A bond link also caused my second mistake as it made me think that the word odd was also a common theme that began with oddjob – a rather memorable Bond movie Henchman. I connected it with numbers, sticks and sugar, but came again empty.
Finally, I went on my way after seeing the four synonyms for the dot and the quartet of Books Old Testament.
All Sean Connery impressions exaggerate the way he pronounced the letter as an elongated “sh” sound, sho in a shurprising way, as I shaw the four words pronounced “sh” without a “sh”. Oh Yesh.
How did you do today? Tell me that in the comments below.
Yesterday’s New -Connections Reply (Monday 7 April, Game #666)

What are new connections?
New Connections is one of several increasingly popular word games made by the New York Times. It challenges you to find groups of four objects that share something in common, and each group has another level of difficulty: green is light, yellow a little harder, blue often quite hard and purple usually very difficult.
On the plus side, you do not have to technically solve the last one, as you can answer one by an elimination process. In addition, you can make up to four errors, giving you a little bit of breathing room.
However, it is a little more involved than something like Wordle, and there are plenty of opportunities for the game to get up with tricks. For example, be careful on gay and other word games that can hide the answers.
It can be played free of charge via the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
