Hi everyone, it’s Marc on the Connections duty today, back for a few days while Johnny is taking a well-deserved vacation.
I stared at the board for at least five minutes before I found anything today; There was simply nothing that seemed to go together. That’s not entirely true – there were several options that had two or three words, such as windy, wet and cold for ‘weather types’ or accurate and correct to ‘correct’.
Eventually, I tried to let my mind think a little more freely and placed dead and beat with exactly and just to make a group that ended up being square.
With Green finished I looked again and tried to think of a dishonest new way. Ship contained the word ‘hip’ inside and bosom the word ‘arm’, so it seemed plausible. A few seconds later I added rankle (‘ankle’) and learn (‘ear’) and rejoiced me when it became purple.
It left only two groups, including the allegedly easiest yellow. I returned to the weather group, all of which were still back on the board, and this time Gray added to make my last group. Blue, which was unresolved by me, ended up being the content of a pods that I am not sure I would ever have.
How did you do today? Tell me that in the comments below.
Yesterday’s New -Connections Reply (Tuesday June 17, Game #737)

What are new connections?
New Connections is one of several increasingly popular word games made by the New York Times. It challenges you to find groups of four objects that share something in common, and each group has another level of difficulty: green is light, yellow a little harder, blue often quite hard and purple usually very difficult.
On the plus side, you do not have to technically solve the last one, as you can answer one by an elimination process. In addition, you can make up to four errors, giving you a little bit of breathing room.
However, it is a little more involved than something like Wordle, and there are plenty of opportunities for the game to get up with tricks. For example, be careful on gay and other word games that can hide the answers.
It can be played free of charge via the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
