New -Connections Today (Play #612) – The answers
The answers to today’s connections, game #612, is …
- Yellow: Documents of Ownership Certificate, deed, receipt, title
- Green: Bit in a black show Dance, monologue, sketch, song
- Blue: props for grades on “The Simpsons” Donut, napp, saxophone, skateboard
- Purple: Start with “Shake, Rattle and Roll” Android, Rattlesnke, Roller magazines, Shakespeare
- My rating: Hard
- My score: 2 Errors
The appearance of the words skateboard and roller magazines took me on a mental detour and thought that four of the words described skating. Donut has to be a trick, I thought, and Rattlesnake sounds like it could be, and good saxophone could run through a tube or something. You may be able to tell, my skating knowledge is zero.
Meditation of the word donut finally got me to the last two groups. Think of Donuts long enough and it’s hard not to think of Homer Simpson and his love for a pink glazed ring. The other three props all appear in the still rushing opening titles.
In the meantime, it was a nice piece of word trickery to start with “shake, rattle and roll”. Well done, connections and to everyone who got it in the top three levels.
How did you do today? Tell me that in the comments below.

What are new connections?
New Connections is one of several increasingly popular word games made by the New York Times. It challenges you to find groups of four objects that share something in common, and each group has another level of difficulty: green is light, yellow a little harder, blue often quite hard and purple usually very difficult.
On the plus side, you do not have to technically solve the last one, as you can answer one by an elimination process. In addition, you can make up to four errors, giving you a little bit of breathing room.
However, it is a little more involved than something like Wordle, and there are plenty of opportunities for the game to get up with tricks. For example, be careful on gay and other word games that can hide the answers.
It can be played free of charge via the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
