Today’s round with connections was incredibly harsh, so congratulations to everyone who got it.
The only group I managed to find was the easiest yellow. Even with this, I had uncertainty about including saws, which didn’t quite seem to match the other three words.
However, I flew completely with the other three groups. I suspected that pentacles had something to do with witchcraft, so I tried to conjure up a group of magic wand and various others.
Unfortunately, I have no knowledge of Tarot cards at all, so much less the members of the smaller Arcana suits. This feels quite niche knowledge to a blue group.
My other blind spawning thought that cups and liters were in a measurement square and that there were some knitting conditions beyond knit and pearl.
An all -round disaster. Hope you did better.

What are new connections?
New Connections is one of several increasingly popular word games made by the New York Times. It challenges you to find groups of four objects that share something in common, and each group has another level of difficulty: green is light, yellow a little harder, blue often quite hard and purple usually very difficult.
On the plus side, you do not have to technically solve the last one, as you can answer one by an elimination process. In addition, you can make up to four errors, giving you a little bit of breathing room.
However, it is a little more involved than something like Wordle, and there are plenty of opportunities for the game to get up with tricks. For example, be careful on gay and other word games that can hide the answers.
