Residents of Murree suffering from heart disease no longer have to travel to rawal pindia for treatment as a heart facility was inaugurated on Wednesday, when heart surgery and bypass procedures will soon be performed.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated Nawaz Sharif Cardiac Center at Mohammad Hussain Samli Sanatorium-Cum-General Hospital in Murree. She also announced that heart surgery and bypass procedures would begin the facility in the near future.
By tackling the initial ceremony, the minister of chief emphasized that a major redevelopment of Murrees Historic Mall Road is currently underway involving an investment of several billion rupees. The project includes the development of a biodiversity park, Wildlife Park, Bansra Gali, Pia Park and Karshee Park, all aimed to improve the region’s environmental and recreational offerings.
She revealed further plans for the impending launch of Glass Train/Automated Rail Transit (Art) System and the establishment of a 100-bed hospital in Kotli Sattian, as part of wider tourism and infrastructure development initiatives.
Maryam announced that Shuttle -Bus connections would soon be in operation between Central Murree and Samli Hospital, which had long suffered from neglect. When she noticed the lack of local cardiac care facilities, she noted that patients with heart-lattered disorders had previously been forced to travel to Rawalpindi considerable hardship, especially considering the time-sensitive nature of such emergencies.
“To bridge this critical gap, we have now ensured the availability of high quality cardiac care within Murree,” she confirmed.
The provincial CEO praised the fast and effective construction of Nawaz Sharif Cardiac Center, manned by qualified doctors and trained staff and filled with a plenty of supply of important heart medicine.
She drawn attention to the contrast between the serenity that tourists have enjoyed in Murree and the lack of basic medical services historically endured by local residents. “We promised the people of Murree that they would no longer need to leave their city for medical treatment – and we have delivered on that promise,” she said.
Maryam announced that her government now had a fully olenely key departments – including police work, traffic management, health, education and tourism – to Murrees local administration.
She noted that an unprecedented number of roads had been constructed in Murree for the past eight months. In contrast, she strongly criticized earlier administrations for allowing uncontrolled deforestation, illegal timber trade and unregulated construction, which had resulted in the degradation of the natural beauty of the area.
“Our government has taken firm action against unauthorized structures and will not allow land prisoners or benefit from disk Murre’s landscape,” she promised.
She also announced the upcoming introduction of electrical buses offering free transport to students, women, elderly citizens and people with disabilities, which further increases accessibility and environmentally friendly mobility in the region.
As she turned to health infrastructure elsewhere in Punjab, she highlighted the accelerated progress at Nawaz Sharif -Cancer Hospital in Lahore and revealed that the Sahiwal division, which previously lacked a single public heart hospital, now has a fully operational cardiology center.
