New Jersey Devils: Jack Hughes Suffering Cruel Shoulder Injury

New Jersey Devils star Jack Hughes suffered a brutal shoulder injury in Sunday evening’s game against Vegas Golden Knights.

The devils were looking to get at least one goal back from the Golden Knights late in the third period. Nico Hischier took a shot and Hughes could not corralate rebound. Hughes then collided with the Golden Knights star Jack Eichel and crashed hard into the boards.

Hughes skate out of the ice as his right arm seemed to dangle.

“Obviously, it didn’t look good,” Devil’s head coach Sheldon Keefe said after the game. “We will have to take the time to know the full extent of it. It’s hard to see, especially it’s a similar spectacle he got called earlier in the period.”

Luke Hughes, Jack’s brother, was emotional as he entered the dressing room when the media gathered to conduct a postgame interview, according to Associated Press.
