- Marvel is reportedly looking for young actors for his X-Men Film Restart
- A new report suggests it will help the study make a cheaper movie
- If it is true it can solve a great mystery of one of Spider-Man: Brand new day‘s role crew
A new report claims that Marvel is looking for up-and-having actors to play X-Men in his restarted film series and if it is true it can solve one of Spider-Man: Brand new day‘s greatest mysteries.
Per the variety sees the comic giant younger talent to produce his iconic mutants in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). According to an agent black talking, Marvel’s decision to hire rising stars and unknown quantities is part of a new cost -saving mandate aimed at reducing how much it spends on new movies and Disney+ show.
Variety’s article, published yesterday (July 30), arrives just over a week after Marvel President Kevin Feige dropped the biggest tip, yet over the type of star he wants to see in Marvel’s Untitled X-Men movie.
Speaking to Nerdist, Feige who also confirmed Thunderbolts* Director Jake Schreier would instruct Flick after online reports claimed he would, said, “Jake has his pulse on, we must say, a younger demographic. Not – he is younger than me, certainly – but he has tapped it in a way that I think is important. It was important for Thunderbolts* [and] Much more important to the X-Men because the X-Men, as it was in the comics, will be a very youth-oriented, focused and crew. “
What has Marvel’s X-Men movie crew scout to do with Spider-Man 4?
In some ways, Marvel’s plan to scour the globe after young talent to play the lead role in his upcoming X-Men movie is equivalent to the 20th century Fox’s approach to its own X-Men film series start. The latter looked like James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence appear in four films – starting with 2011’s X-Men: First Class – It contained a younger version of Professor X, Magneto and Company.
If it is true that Marvel is looking for less established actors to produce MCU’s X-Men to save cash, it almost certainly puts a pin in a role crew rumor about Spider-Man: Brand new day. Really, Spider-Man 4which has just begun filming in Glasgow, Scotland, is reportedly set to include Sadie Sink in a significant role with Tom Holland’s web sounds.
There has been no official word about what character Stranger Things Actor can play – in fact, no one close to the film’s production has actually confirmed that she is part of the procedure. Nevertheless, one of the prevailing theories of who she could portray Jean Gray, is also one of the most famous mutants in Marvel’s great history.
In light of Marvel’s apparent desire to keep costs down everywhere on his X-Men project, however, the possibility that Sink could play Jean Gray is basically a non-starter.

According to a Puck -News letter circulated to subscribers in January 2023, Sink is allegedly set to earn over $ 7 million to Stranger Things Season 5. At that time, Puck indicated that the wildly popular Netflix show last season led to all its most important role crew members receiving bumper new wage agreements.
It is difficult to confirm Puck’s claim. But if that is true, Sink’s seven-digit sum for one of the best Netflix shows’ final hurray basically excludes her out of playing Jean Gray in MCU. Marvel will not pay washing that kind of sum if it planned to hire her to play the telekinetic superhuman across several projects. Feige has already confirmed that the X-Men will be front and center of MCU after Avengers: Secret Wars Wrap Multiversen Saga. Whoever signs up to play one of the mutant strokes will be in it for a long time, and Marvel will ensure that they are locked in offers that do not increase their wages 10 times every time they appear.
Need more evidence that hiring non-A lists for cartoon films is the way to go from an economic perspective? Just look at SupermanThe first DC Universe (DCU) movie, released as part of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s restarted film franchise. According to a July 2025 edition of The Puck Newsletter, the leading man David Corenswet was paid only $ 750,000 to appear in the DCU Chapter One movie. That is about a tenth of what the sink apparently will earn on Stranger Things 5.
If Marvel wants to save money, it must follow DC Studios’ lead and not hand out seven-digit amounts to anyone it hires to play one of the X-Men. It is by that reason alone that I am more than convinced than ever that Sink could not possibly play Jean Gray in Spider-Man’s next big screen adventure.
