Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has expected a new rain form across the country that starts Monday.

According to PMD, a western weather system is expected to enter Pakistan, which brings rain in different regions. Hailstorms are probably in Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.

The department has also predicted snowfall in northern areas during this period, with rain expected in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan from February 25.

In addition, PMD has warned of flash flooding and the risk of landslide in hilly areas. Tourists have been asked to avoid unnecessary trips for security reasons.

Meanwhile, Karachi is likely to experience mostly cloudy sky, bringing cooler conditions compared to the previous days.

According to Met Office, Karachi will see different wind directions over the next three days. Northeastern winds from Balochistan are expected during the night and the early morning hours, while southwest sea breeze will dominate in the afternoon.

Residents are advised to be prepared for sudden changes in temperature and visibility, especially in the early morning hours when fog can affect traffic.
