They say every day is a school day and it certainly was for me today.
I got the theme pretty quickly and even found the spanframe easily enough, but I hit a wall on the last word and spent a few minutes wondering before finally taking the most obvious route and whipping out CHIFFONADE.
Kudos if you were aware of this term, to cut vegetables into ribbons. It’s one of those things I didn’t even know had a word, but from now on I will no longer chop my vegetables, I will chiffonade them.

Strands is the NYT’s not-so-new-anymore word game, following Wordle and Connections. It’s now a full-fledged member of NYT’s game stable that’s been running for a year and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
