NEW Strands today (game #684) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #684, are…
- JOKER
- ROBIN
- CHAP
- MEN’S TRIP
- JUSTICE
- PENGUIN
- REVENGE
- SPANFRAME: BATMAN
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
The hardest part of today’s game was my last word – REVENGE – which took me much longer than it really should have.
I also wasted no time finding the CAVE, one of several notable absences from the world of BATMAN.
My favorite version of the Caped Crusader is the original Adam West version from the 1960s, and it saddens me that Bruce Wayne has become more and more downcast ever since; the newer Robert Pattinson version, for example, would be greatly improved if he wore a spandex bodysuit and went around correcting people on their bad grammar.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Thursday, January 15, Game #683)
- DRUM
- CHANNEL
- RUN
- ANVIL
- HAMMER
- CARTILAGE
- SPANGRAM: HEARING
