Strands is the NYT’s latest word game, following the likes of Wordle, Spelling Bee and Connections – and it’s great fun. It can be difficult though, so read on for my Strands tips.

After a long run of fairly easy games, the Strands have turned in the opposite direction, with another difficult search and hard to find spangram.
The top left corner is usually the key to me being fast or not, and today’s blank had me navigating around the board until I found some vague “low-key dodge”.
Fortunately, after becoming WEAK, the word NEBULOUS revealed itself to my eyes and I was on my way – or so I thought.
As I struggled to think of more words to fit the theme, I hunted for words that weren’t puns and took a hint to eventually help me limp towards the finish line.

What is NYT Strands?
Strands is the NYT’s not-so-new-anymore word game, following Wordle and Connections. It’s now a full-fledged member of NYT’s game stable that’s been running for a year and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
