NEW Strands today (game #628) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #628, are…
- ALIGN
- PIVOT
- INTERRUPT
- CONNECTION
- SCALE
- IDEAS
- SPANGRAM: CORPORATESPEAK
- My assessment: Hard
- My score: 2 hints
Back then, I once found myself on the board of a short-lived, dysfunctional startup that had somehow managed to screw up an investment from a couple of gullible billionaires.
During that time, I attended lots of meetings where words like DISRUPT and IDEATE were thrown around – without anyone really knowing what they meant.
Eventually I realized that it didn’t matter what they meant; just that they made the person saying them sound like they knew what they meant.
Anyway, I digress. Let’s talk about today’s Strands. Despite my knowledge of CORPORATESPEAK, I struggled to get going and picked up a few tips.
ALIGN and PIVOT got me going, but I found it hard to get all my buzzwords in line.
By the way, if you’re ever in a meeting and you hear someone say PIVOT, you’re in big trouble. This usually means that the company is headed for bankruptcy.
