Depending on your geographical location and penchant for sports, you would have found today’s search incredibly easy or incredibly difficult.
Considering I live in a place where the NBA barely makes it, I haven’t experienced MARCHMADNESS in its insane glory beyond a few clips of last-nanosecond wins that my basketball-loving friend has shown me.
Instead, I took the theme literally and searched for types of dances – after “pause” came up blank, I needed a lot of help from hints to help me navigate the board.

Strands is the NYT’s not-so-new-anymore word game, following Wordle and Connections. It’s now a full-fledged member of NYT’s game stable that’s been running for a year and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
