NEW Strands today (game #596) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #596, are…
- MEMO
- SIGNATURE
- ROUTING
- NUMBER
- ADDRESS
- AMOUNT
- SPANGRAM: CHECKLIST
- My rating: Hard
- My score: 1 tip
Playing from the UK I was unsure of the terminology for sending a check in the post but it all made sense in the end.
Ironically, given that this was a financial terminology search, “chase” was the first non-game word I found along with a few others to give me a leg up with a tip.
Getting MEMO didn’t help much, but I spotted CHECKLIST next – which helped reveal SIGNATURE; it’s always a shock when you realize that such a long word has been hiding in plain sight.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Sunday, October 19, Game #595)
- SAUCE
- JELLY
- BUTTER
- CIDER
- COMPOTE
- STRUDEL
- FRITTER
- SPANGRAM: APPLES
