NEW Strands today (game #637) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #637, are…
- LIONS
- ANTS
- GEESE
- QUEUES
- PRIDE
- FLOCK
- ARMY
- FLOCK
- SPANGRAM: TOGETHER
- My assessment: Hard
- My score: 1 tip
It wasn’t until I had completed the list of animals that I realized this was a pair game where one half of the search matched the other.
All very clever – but this was not a game without its frustrations. I needed a hint to get started and struggled to see the spanframe until the end of the game.
No matter when I got there in the end. Plus the inclusion of the word GEESE made me play my favorite song of the year, Taxesby the band of the same name. It is magnificent. I’d like to think that was secretly the whole reason for today’s search.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Saturday, November 29, Game #636)
- WHEEL
- PULLEY
- AXEL
- SCREW
- LEVER
- WEDGE
- AIRPLANE
- SPANGRAM: SIMPLEMACHINE
