NEW Strands today (game #662) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #662, are…
- MASTER
- Drummers
- MAYER
- BEEPING
- SWANS
- LADY
- SPANGRAM: CHRISTMAS DAYS
- My assessment: Easy
- My score: Perfect
A lovely festive quest that didn’t present too many challenges once it became clear which carol the theme was.
Naturally missing from the search was a partridge, geese, turtle doves and my favorite line to sing – five gold rings. It’s a strange song in many ways, the gifts of birds, milk and pipes, I understand, but who wants some gentlemen jumping around the place?
It’s also a song that’s evolved a lot over the years – the first version included collies – so we’ve been long overdue for an update. Perhaps seven Apple Watches instead of the Swans and surely a Samsung Galaxy Tablet in a pear tree would be more desirable than a partridge?
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Wednesday, December 24, Game #661)
- COMFY
- PLEASANT
- RELAXING
- PLEASANT
- WARM
- SOFT
- HOMELY
- SPANGRAM: SNUGASABUG
