I’m the exact opposite of every word in today’s search, which is possibly why I’ve never been a boss, and possibly why I struggled so much to find them all.
The word BOSS actually appears twice on the board and I had it as a non-game word before I discovered the spanframe.
One hint gave me FED, which wasn’t the most generous start – but it was enough to make me CONFIDENT of the theme.

Strands is the NYT’s not-so-new-anymore word game, following Wordle and Connections. It’s now a full-fledged member of NYT’s game stable that’s been running for a year and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
