After initially thinking we were looking for cold weather words—”frost” was the first word I saw in the alphabet soup—the double-Z in PIZZA set me on another frozen path.
You can tell a lot about someone from the contents of their freezer. Mine currently contains lots of Christmas leftovers (I buy too much) and ice packs (I’ve injured my knee) and none of today’s FROZENFOOD list.
Putting aside my sudden craving for WAFFLES, this was a fun search that I found a great match thanks to the right-to-left order of the words.

Strands is the NYT’s not-so-new-anymore word game, following Wordle and Connections. It’s now a full-fledged member of NYT’s game stable that’s been running for a year and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
