A fitting theme as the planet takes its final turn in 2025, but I’m sure I wasn’t alone in thinking that the theme was about doing good deeds, something we often think about during the Christmas period.
The first word I found was round, but at the time, before I discovered the same word again, I thought it was a word that was not a game – such are the tricks the Strands play on us.
After getting the SPIN I was off on my merry way, only to stumble upon the hard to spell PIROUETTE.

What is NYT Strands?
Strands is the NYT’s not-so-new-anymore word game, following Wordle and Connections. It’s now a full-fledged member of NYT’s game stable that’s been running for a year and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
