NEW Strands today (game #689) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #689, are…
- GLOAT
- TEASE
- BURP
- SHOUT
- STARE
- POINT
- INTERRUPT
- SPANGRAM: DONTBERUDE
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
A fun and easy game today.
There is a mindset that burping in front of friends and family means you’re comfortable with them, and that’s a weird kind of compliment. In certain cultures, it is also considered a polite sign of appreciation after a meal. However, it’s hard to think of the rest of the words in today’s search being considered anything other than rude.
I find British political debate almost impossible to listen to as they are constantly INTERRUPTING each other. Come to think of it, British politicians are guilty of all the other bad behavior too – maybe it would be better if they just burped at each other.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Tuesday, January 20, Game #688)
- HEEL
- TONGUE
- VAMP
- SOLE
- LACE
- LOGO
- THE EYE
- SPANGRAM: JUSTFORKICKS
