NEW Strands today (game #633) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #633, are…
- QUIET
- COACH
- DINING
- OBSERVATION
- SLEEPING
- SPANGRAM: PASSENGER TRAIN
- My assessment: Hard
- My score: 2 hints
Sometimes seeing part of a word is what helps you find the whole. Such was the case today as I worked backwards from TION to get the longest pun OBSERVATION.
After finding QUIET and not understanding its meaning, I took two hints to get COACH and DINING before landing the extra long spangram – which was very happily in the shape of a train.
The best thing about Amtrak’s OBSERVATION car is that they have seats that face sideways instead of the direction of travel, making the view of the star something unique in my train travel experience.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Tuesday, November 25, Game #632)
- ACME
- PEAK
- SUMMIT
- PINNACLE
- PEAK
- HEIGHT
- ZENITH
- SPAN FRAME: UPPER LIMIT
