New continues to find new ways to hide the spangle. Today it was a curious vertical at the start of the grid. I had tapped cone and scone as a tip word before I saw it. Not that it was a big surprise that we were looking for constellations thanks to the theme development.
Cross and Dipper were my first spots – the obvious – but the rest I struggled with.
Of the 88 constellations in the sky, I could probably name the zodiac signs, and it is about it, so much less the forms they are also known as.
So thanks to my Google AI servant, here are Strands Constellations and their official names: Cross (Cygnus), Dipper (Ursa Major), Swan (Cygnus), Maiden (Virgin), Hunter (Orion) and Centaurus (Centaurus). Every day is a school day.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
