The answers to today’s threads, game #470, is …
- Etude
- Suite
- Minuet
- Nocturne
- Sonata
- Prelude
- Spanggram: Piano pieces
- My rating: Moderate
- My score: 1 tip
I desperately needed a tip to start me today, and the word I got – Etude – is one that I am only familiar with from playing Wordle Spinoff Quordle, where it has appeared several times this year.
It is a piece of music that is used as a practice for students and is intended to stretch and test their abilities.
Once I had this prompt, I managed to find the other words without further help.
All these words for piano pieces are well known, but I was unsure of what they all meant. The minute, for example, I had assumed that I meant a very short piece, but am actually a slow, stately dance in triple time. Everyday is a school day with threads.
How did you do today? Tell me that in the comments below.
Yesterday’s new strings answer (Sunday 15th June, Game #469)

- Crawdad

- Paparazzi
- Popsicle
