New -threads today (game #449) – the answers
The answers to today’s threads, game #449, is …
- HANDSHAKE
- SALUTE
- Shoulder feature
- Kowtow
- Namaste
- Curtsey
- Spanggram: Movements
- My rating: Moderate
- My score: 1 tip
I struggled with today’s threads, after a good start by watching handshakes and greeting immediately and then the movements span.
A tip gave me a shrug, but I struggled to see namast among the seven letters in front of me. I think this may be because of thinking that Namaste was just a greeting rather than a gesture – even though I think about it, I realize it is something that is never said without the palms coming together at the chest and a small bow of my head.
Meanwhile, Kowtow is a word that really needs to be used more commonly to describe political discourse in different countries across the globe – when a prominent part of Chinese rituals where underlings would suffer the indignity of submission, kowtowing continues everywhere.
How did you do today? Tell me that in the comments below.
