New -threads today (game #351) – the answers
The answers to today’s threads, game #351, are …
- LEMON
- Canary
- Goldenrod
- MUSTARD
- Saffron
- Daffodil
- Spanggram: Yellow
- My rating: Easy
- My score: 1 tip
I needed a tip to get started today, but when I knew the color we were looking for was yellow, it was easy to go until the last word.
I could twist that saffron is an orange shade, but there seems to be some debate that it is both orange and yellow.
Goldenrod is not a shadow I’ve heard of before. Google’s AI search tool tells me it’s named after Goldenrod Flowers, and it’s a color that conveys “a feeling of warmth, cheerfulness and natural beauty”. Meanwhile, according to Wikipedia’s side of Goldenrod (color): “It is the color of the paper that the Scientology Church’s ethical department prints its oppressive persons declarations, giving rise to the term ‘Golden-Rodding’.” Interesting.
How did you do today? Tell me that in the comments below.
Yesterday’s new strings response (Sunday 16th February, Game #350)

- RICE
- Buckwheat
- Tapioca
- Chickpeas
