The answers to today’s threads, game #349, is …
- Sharks
- Jets
- Devils
- WILD
- AVALANCHE
- LIGHTNING
- Spangram: Hockey Team
- My rating: Moderate
- My score: 1 tip
I love how some hockey teams have very elementary names. Both examples of today’s puzzle – Tampa Bay Lightning and Colorado Avalanche – sound very masculine and scary, which is very necessary for hockey teams. I wonder if they should have a focus group to decide and what opportunities were rejected. Win maybe or drip.
If London ever got an NHL team, they could hold the theme and call themselves London Fog – the fans could call themselves fog, people who had kept the team for many years could call themselves the old fog.
Still, I’ll take off. Both of these names have at least some connection to ice, unlike many others, including the jets and flames – the latter are particularly concerned as heat melts ice.
How did you do today? Tell me that in the comments below.
Yesterday’s new strings response (Friday 14 February, Game #348)
