Today’s excitement was like an oversized scrunchie that recorded a huge part of the puzzle.
Unlike Bobby Pins, today’s words describe all hair ornaments. I struggled to see Barrette as this is known as a hair glass in the UK, but the rest was easy to spot.
As a father of two girls, I am fully aware of the world of hair accessories and have been a willing model/victim of my daughter’s experimentation. It’s an activity along with painting my nails, both found completely hysterical.
That’s also the reason I relate to buzz Lightyear and the scene in the first Toy Story Movies in which he is stolen by SiD’s sister and becomes Mrs. Nesbitt for a doll particle – “One minute you save the galaxy and suddenly you find yourself sipping Darjeeling with Marie Antoinette and her little sister”. It’s paternity.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
