New -threads today (game #455) – the answers
The answers to today’s threads, game #455, is …
- GUARANTEE
- COURTROOM
- ALIBI
- MOVEMENT
- OBJECTION
- Spangram: Your honor
- My rating: Moderate
- My score: 1 tip
The theme “All Rise” immediately made me believe that we were looking for expressions associated with judges, juries and litigation. I couldn’t see any keywords so I used a tip to start hunting. Bail didn’t exactly open the board – but watching the courtroom did.
After a few light versions, these threads were much more of a challenge – objection was my last word, but it took a while to remove the anagram and then connect the letters.
Today’s Spangram – Your Honor – is also the title of a TV show that has an excellent opening episode about a crime, a compromised judge and the manufacture of an alibi. The jury is out on the rest of the series.
How did you do today? Tell me that in the comments below.
Yesterday’s new strings answer (Saturday, May 31, Game #454)

- CLAW
- Cut
- Barrette
- Headbands
- Spanggram: Hair accessories
